Carter's first trip to the Dentist

Carter had his first experience with the dentist this past week. We could see that he had cavities, but had been putting it off while trying to find the right dentist to take him to. Finally he was old enough to take him to our family dentist (he won't take them until they are 3). Carter was so good I couldn't believe it. He sat still the whole time they worked on him and didn't move. I think the dentist was surprised too. We had to go twice to get all of the work done. The second day he was so excited. The best part for him was being able to pick something out of the treasure box at the end of each appointment. This was the prize he chose after his last trip.
Nice that he walks out of the dentist looking like this.

Funny Walker Story

I just remembered a funny story about Walker, I have never written it down and figured I better before I forget. A couple of years ago at church Steve went to pick Walker up from his primary class. When Walker came out of his class he had a picture of Noah on the ark that he had colored during class. Steve started to ask Walker about his lesson and the picture.
Steve asked Walker,"What's that a picture of?"
Walker answered,"The Black Pearl."
Trying not to laugh Steve then asked,"What is Noah doing on the Black Pearl?"
To which Walker asked,"Who's Noah?"
We still laugh about this story. I hope now that he knows who Noah is. I guess we aren't doing our job very well as parents if our children don't even know the most popular bible stories.
This a picture of Walker from about the same time. Notice how he has no socks on with his church shoes. This boy HATES socks.

Modesty Shots

I am one of four Activity Day leaders in our ward (yes, we have a lot of girls). We had a pretty great activity this week. Our theme was modesty. We talked to the girls about modesty and how it has changed over the years. The girls brought a picture of their mom and grandma if they could find them to show what they wore when they were the same age. After that we had our resident photographer, Jessica, take some pictures of them. Kind of like "Glamour Shots", but we called them "Modesty Shots". Here is the picture of Reagan. Turned out pretty great. The girls all such a great time, they all have a little inner diva.

Family Pictures

We had my friend Jessica take some family pictures of us a few weeks ago. I was so excited because she does such amazing work, and we haven't had a family picture taken in years. These are just a few of my favorites, if I put all of my favorites on here you would all get sick of looking at us. We went out to my Grandma's farm to take the pictures, such a great background. It is nice to find a little green in this desert we live in.

I think this is my favorite family one.

I really love these feet pictures that she took. Something I would have never thought of. I guess that is why you are so good Jessica.

I love how short Carter is compared to the rest of us.

Another foot picture. LOVE IT!

Reagan loved being a model. Anytime you want to take pictures of someone Jessica, call her. Although you can tell she is starting to turn into a teen. When she looks at the pictures she picks at all of the things that she doesn't like about herself. I remember when she use to think that she was the smartest, most beautiful girl in the world.

I love this picture of Walker. He is going to be a heart breaker someday.

Carter, the cutest 3 year old in the world. Man I am in love with those blue eyes. In some of the other pictures his eyes just shine. Boy, I love my kids. They are so good looking, don't you think.
Thank you so much Jessica. We love them.

Boys in the Dirt

Steve took the pool down the other day. The kids haven't swam for at least a month and the water wasn't looking so good. Now the boys have their dirt patch back. They have had fun the past couple of days just playing and digging in the dirt. They even got into a dirt fight the other day and I had to make them come in and take a bath because it was in the eyes and mouth, and EVERYWHERE.
Boys and Dirt!!??!!

Halloween Fun

We had a slow Halloween this year. Steve was working so it was up to me to entertain the kids. I tried to talk them out of Trick-or-Treating, because they still had candy from the church party, but they made me take them. Then we came home and made mini pizzas for dinner, and then we watched Beetlejuice. I figured that was a not so scary, scary movie. I know I'm not too creative, but oh well. Sorry I didn't get any pics of them in costume or anything else we did that night. I guess that is what happens when there is only one parent home.
Reagan and Walker going through their loot after we got done Trick-or-Treating. They got quite the haul this year.

Carter got invited to go to a Tot Halloween party with some friends from church. It was pretty fun. Here he is decorating his haunted house with candy.

Halloween Twister.
