Old Town San Diego

One afternoon while we were in San Diego, Jeremy and Erin took us to Old Town. It is such a cool place. It is really neat to see some of the history of the area. We went to a little Mexican restaurant for lunch, looked at some shops and then went to the Mormon Battalion Museum. While at lunch we had four different mariachi groups come by to play for us, each time wanting a tip. It was fun to hear them, but we got a little tired of having to fork over cash everytime they walked our way. The kids loved it, and danced away while they played for us.

Jaron, Carter, and Emmy dancing on the stage.

Uncle Jeremy teasing Reagan.

Walker teasing Jack.

Jack and his blankie. He wasn't feeling well most of the time we were in San Diego and his blankie went everywhere with us.

It was really neat. They have a movie, and you go from room to room, learning about the history of the Battalion. Walker got to put on some of the gear they carried with them. After the tour they take you outside and you can pan for gold, pump water, do laundry by hand and learn about brick making. So fun and hands on for the kids. Highly recommend going if you are ever in town.
