USS Midway

Our first day in San Diego we decided to go and tour the USS Midway. It is a retired Navy air craft carrier that is now a museum. This is photo of it from the web site. My nephew Konner is really into military things, especially planes. He was in heaven. We were all excited about it, then we got to the ticket booth. It was a pretty expensive tour. Now that my brother in in the Navy he and his family got in free though. Next time if we are going to spend the money we'll go to Sea World or the Zoo. We thought this would be less expensive. We did have a good time though.

This is a statue of that famous photo of a sailor kissing a girl after WWII (I think). We were going to get up closer, but the ship was so big, by the time we were done with the tour we were too tired and the kids were ready for the beach.
