Firehouse Tour

Jennifer and Carter went on a tour of our local firehouse. They tagged along with a friends preschool group.
Carter next to one of the fire trucks. One of the firefighters put on the gear and mask to show the kids what they would look like if they ever have to come into your house, you can sort of see him in the background. Carter was so freaked out when he put on the mask, I almost lost the circulation in my arm because he was holding on so tight. I was surprised he finally let me put him down so I could try and take a picture.

This is inside one of the fire trucks.

They gave all the kids these little plastic fireman hats. Carter didn't want to leave when the tour was over. All the other kids were leaving and he wouldn't let me put him in the car. We stopped at Walmart on our way home and he wouldn't leave the hat in the car. We live near a retirement commumity and all of the old people in Walmart loved him in his firehat. We usually get comments about him when we go to the store, but this time almost everyone stopped to talk to him and tell him how much they liked his hat. They would ask him where the fire was and stuff like that, he just sat there and smiled, his dimpled smile, which melts the old people even more. Boy they love him.

I can completely imagine that trip to the retirement community Walmart! How funny! I remember when Jacob wouldn't take off his yellow rainboots, day or night, and people always got a kick out of it! At least Carter has apparently gotten over his camo pants (or was it the crocks) obsession! haha kids are funny that way! so when exactly are you headed to ut?

When we lived in Cali Walker had camo rain boots he use to wear every day, I don't know if you remember Elsa. They looked great with his shorts. Now, yes, all he will wear are Crocs, and his new thing is athletic shorts. I don't know what he is going to do when we go to Utah and there is snow on the ground. He only owns two pair of pants, and the only shoes he owns are his Crocs. I guess it is a good thing we live where it is warm all year long.
