I had Jack with me in bed early the other morning, trying to get him to go back to sleep. I looked over at him and he was grinning ear to ear at me. I ran to get the camera, and by the time I got back he wouldn't smile the same. I still think I got some good pictures of him. I wish I knew more of what I was doing with photography (Jessica you moved too soon).
Jack is getting to be such a sweet baby. He was really fussy the first couple of months, but has calmed down a lot. We sure love having him in our family.

My parents have a picture of me just like this one above. I need to find it and compare.

Sort of a smile.

San Diego

Steve's sand dragon. He has mad sand castle skills.
Jeremy, Jaron, Steve and Walker

This is how I spent my two days at the beach, hiding from the sun. Jack is under that towel being shielded from the sun and wind.

Walker catching a wave

Walker the germaphobe. He washes his hands constantly, but at the beach he rolls in the sand. He was actually rubbing it in his hair one day. What a freak. But we love him.

Carter

Carter got cold so he came and asked to be wrapped in his towel. What can I say, he is related to his mother. I was cold most of the time we were there too.

This is how Jack spent his two days at the beach. We didn't want him in the sun so he wore a sleeper and then I kept him wrapped in a towel and in the shade of an umbrella. He spent the whole time, both days, sleeping in my arms. Luckily it was cool so I didn't have to worry about him being too hot.

We tye-dyed t-shirts for kids to wear on the 4th of July, we even did a little onsie for Jack. The kids had a lot of fun making them.
Walker, Jaron, Kate, Carter, Emmaline, Jack and Reagan.
It was a lot of fun trying to get the kids to hold still long enough to take a picture. Reagan and Walker were the only ones that would sit still.

Here is Jack at 2 months old. This picture was taken not long after he had gone into the doctor for his checkup and got 5 shots. Which is why he looks so happy. Notice the band-aids on his thighs. Poor guy. He weighed 9 pounds at his appointment, so he is gaining weight nicely, and finally starting to fit in some of his clothes.
Jack's smile

Sometimes in the early morning if Steve is gone to work I will leave Jack in bed with me after I have fed him and try to get some more sleep myself. This morning Carter woke up really early, so I let him get in bed with me too to see if he would fall back asleep. He finally did, but then I was crowded out of the bed, so I just got up.

Walker was very lucky with the Tooth Fairy. He left a note that said:
"Don't take my teeth
just give money."
He really wants to make a necklace with the teeth, so she left them, and $5.
He said he forgot to say please on the note. He was trying to hurry and write the note before he went to bed.

Walker's New Smile

For those of you that didn't know, Walker had two extra teeth in the top of his mouth. Yesterday we went to the dentist and had them pulled. He was VERY nervous, but the dentist said they actually came out very easily. Walker only complained once after we got home about the pain. He thinks that he is going to make a necklace with the teeth now. What a funny kid.

This picture is a little gory, sorry. I sure hope those holes heal quickly. He hasn't complained about it bothering him at all.
