Trunk-or-Treat

Tonight was our ward Halloween party. Here are a few pictures of the kids in their costumes.
Carter the dump truck driver. This costume was a big hit, everyone loved it. It is a hand-me-down from Walker. Walker loved it so much he was this for 3 years in a row. While Reagan was taking it out of the car she ripped one of the suspenders off, that is why you see the nice duct tape job that Steve had to do.

Paging Dr. Horrocks. Walker couldn't make up his mind of what he wanted he wanted to be. He decided at the last minute to be a doctor. The fun part is that Steve just got of work when we went to the party so he was dressed in scrubs too. And then I decided to get in the fun and put on a old pair of my scrubs. I know, we are so original.

Here is Minnie Mouse. I finished her costume that afternoon. Yes, I am a procrastinator. She did look pretty good though. She loved the costume, so I guess that makes it worth all the work.

I have spent weeks trying to talk Reagan into being something simple and more original for Halloween, but it didn't work. She had her mind set that she wanted to be Minnie Mouse, so off to the fabric store we went. We finally found the red and white polka dot fabric after searching the store, and now this is how I will be spending the rest of the week, sewing. I thought I had 2 weeks until Halloween, but then I remembered that our ward Halloween party is this Saturday, boy am I in trouble. Wish me luck, and hopefully it will turn out.
Poor Walker wanted to be a robot, and I put Steve in charge of that costume figuring he would do much better than I could. But, Steve has been moonlighting so much this last month that he hasn't had anytime to start the costume. Walker told us last night, "It's all right. I'll just be the Grimm Reaper again." I feel so bad. Two years in a row of making costumes for Reagan, next year she gets to have a simple one and Walker gets to go all out.
Carter is getting to be a hand-me-down costume from Walker, but I don't think he will care much.

REAGAN

The kids had a 4 day weekend for their Fall Break this last week. One of the days we decided to go over and hang out at Grandma's for a while. Walker wanted to ride bikes over there, and Carter wanted to take his scooter. I took the camera and we tried to take some pictures while we were there. Reagan had more fun than the boys doing a photo shoot. She kept posing everywhere saying, "Mom take a picture of this". Some of the pictures turned out pretty good, even though I have no idea what I am doing.

Reagan helping Carter across the lawn with his scooter. Walker had just crashed on his bike in the gravel driveway between the houses and I was helping him hobble to the house to clean him up.

I didn't realize until I put these picture on the computer that my shadow was in a lot of the pictures. I guess I need to work on my photography skills. I hope figure out how to Photo Shop it out, if that is even possible.

WALKER

"The Thinker"

Walker has so much fun now that he can ride a bike. It seems like that is all he ever wants to do. It is great to go to Grandma's to ride, she has a huge driveway and he can ride circles around it forever. We also don't have to worry about traffic. Uncle Lomand showed Walker a bunch of bikes they have out by the barn, one of them was in good working condition so we don't have to drag his bike over anymore. It is a girls bike, but there isn't anyone there to watch him, so he doesn't seem to mind. Lomand told him that one of the bikes it a stunt bike, so now Walker is trying to talk Steve into fixing it up for him.

CARTER

"Gek-a -Boo"
That is how he says peek-a-boo. Unless he has just heard you say it right, then he says it the right way. I sat him in the tree and as soon as I started trying to take his picture he started to cover his face and play peek-a-boo. Oh well, they turned out cute anyway.

Riding his scooter.
How is it that boys can find dirt or puddles of water no matter where they are? I guess at the farm it is everywhere, even in the driveway.

Sitting on the post that is at the entrance to Grandma's driveway. He thought it was fun the he was taller than me.

Carter's new look. Yes that is underwear hanging out of his shorts. Now that there isn't a diaper there to hold up his pants, his underwear is always hanging out. Oh well. At least we don't have to buy diapers anymore, YEAH!!!!
